Enough
by Kate Conner.
In a book based on her run-away blog post “Ten Things I Want to Tell Teenage Girls,” which garnered more than 2 million views in two weeks, Kate Conner calls us to action in Enough. We all have teenage girls in our lives who we love, whether it’s a sister, friend, or daughter. Kate has identified 10 things these girls need to hear today from someone who loves her.
Peppered with wit and laced with grace, Kate’s list tackles relevant issues like Facebook, emotions, drama, tanning beds, modesty, and flirtation. Woven into each chapter is a powerful message of worth that transcends age, and will touch the souls of women, young and old alike: You are beautiful. You are valuable. You are enough.

I enjoyed reading “Enough,” by Kate Connor. This is a
Christian based book about ways to teach teenage girls that they are beautiful,
valuable, and enough. I have daughters, one whom will be a pre-teen soon. This
really helped me think of ways I can educate my young girls right now (even
before they are teens) that they are worth more than anything. The author lists
10 things we should be telling teenage girls. I learned profound concepts from
each chapter. For example, one of the chapters was about Facebook and
evaluating ourselves when on social media. Three questions we should we asking
ourselves, “What story am I telling, If I went back and read all of my Facebook
statuses, would I recognize me, & If I went back and read all of my
Facebook statuses, would I know that I was a Christian?” This is true with all
age groups! Teenage girls are not the only ones who struggle with these
concepts of belonging and beauty! I really enjoyed the approach the author made
with personal stories. She has a good sense of humor and keeps her readers
interested. I have teenage nieces right now and highly recommended this book to
their parents. Anyone who has a relationship with a teenage girl (or pre-teenager)
should definitely read this book!
