Are you looking for a new cookbook? Do you love to cook new recipes? Well, I have the perfect book for you and your family. It is called,

The Pollan Family Table Cookbook
by Corky, Lori, Dana, and Tracy Pollan

About:

The Pollan Family Table Cookbook. From their family to yours, learn from their helpful hints and tips, see images from their intimate family dinners, and glean from their recipes that have been passed down through the generations. Mom Corky, brother Michael, and sisters Lori, Dana, and of course Tracy of Family Ties fame put together this cookbook of fresh ingredients, delicious foods, and kitchen tips you won’t want to miss out on.

In my opinion:

This cookbook was very well written and the photos were brilliantly displayed. I love cookbooks that are family oriented and this book certainly fits that description. The Pollan family seem like a fun and entertaining family who gather around a table to enjoy delicious family recipes. It was important for them to eat together as a family so they can stay together. It is true that families that eat together have "children with better grades, are emotionally stable, are happier and have healthier eating habits."

Another fabulous feature of the Pollan Family Table cookbook was that they offered a "market" list and "pantry" list to make shopping for dinner stress free. That was exactly what I needed! Another feature was the culinary ABCs. Do you come across words you aren't sure of in recipes? Well, they simplified it and translated the most commonly used cooking terms. Perfect!

The recipes looked delicious.  I wish there was a picture for each recipe but there were a lot of beautiful pictures that made the recipes look resistible. The recipes included poultry, meat, fish and seafood, vegetarian and meatless Mondays, pasta, soups and chilis, salads, vegetables and sides and roasted vegetables, it's easier than you think and desserts. There were also "food for thought" type boxes which told about a certain food's nutritional value.

Overall, I loved the family and cooking photos. They were so personal and amazing. I also loved the photos of Michael J. Fox who is married to Tracy Pollan. I definitely recommend you grab a copy of The Pollan Family Table cookbook.
