If you didn't know...I am a huge fan of the TV series
When Calls the Heart.

I was privileged to receive a copy of Season 2, episode 1. Wahoo! I also was able to view this episode before it aired on tv which I am grateful for. But, now I have a copy which I can watch over and over again.

And, now you can get your copy too.

Synopsis-  Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow) is an independent, strong-willed teacher who has foregone the life of the big city and found a job, a home – and romance with a handsome Mountie named Jack – in the small frontier town of Coal Valley. But when she learns that her mother has taken ill, she returns to Hamilton, her hometown, with Jack as her escort. Once in the comparably opulent Hamilton, Elizabeth and Jack are confounded by Jack's ne'er-do-well brother and Elizabeth's former suitor, Charles Kensington. In my opinion:
I always love the first episode in a new season because it feels like a new chapter in a book. There was more drama and more excitement around every corner. Also, I loved that new characters joined the cast of When Calls the Heart- Trials of the Heart because it makes the show entertaining.

This episode introduced Elizabeth's family as well as a past suitor named Charles. I'm still a Jack fan and hope that Elizabeth is smart enough to hold onto their relationship. Although, I'm starting to think that she is a little flirt and is going to stir up trouble. I'm sure she will follow her heart and end up with Jack but it does worry me. I'm not a huge fan of her dad because it seems that he doesn't want to give Jack the time of day. He is stuck on Charles and wants Elizabeth to end up with him. Yikes! I hope he realizes the importance of Elizabeth's happiness. I'm lucky to have a father who supports me in every decision I make. I know it isn't real life but it made me realize I'm super grateful for my dad.

Overall, I loved this episode and look forward to seeing the rest of the episodes in Season two. I've seen bits and pieces since I am now a mother of three children. However, I love where the show is going and will continue to watch each episode to find out what happens. I definitely recommend When Calls the Heart because it is clean, wholesome and family friendly. It is time that we see more shows like this one instead of the garbage that is on tv.
