Book Reviews: Fergus Barnaby Goes on Vacation & Goodnight Spaceman

Today, I have two amazing books to make read-along time a blast with your children.

These books were heart warming children's stories for bedtime or anytime.

Fergus Barnaby

Goes on Vacation

About:

Family, friendship, sharing, vacations, and apartment living are just some of the things that are celebrated in this charming children’s book! Fergus Barnaby is so excited! Mom, Dad, and Fergus are about to go away on vacation for a few days of fun in the sun. But first…Dad tells him to pack everything he needs, and now Fergus has a problem. Fred has his bucket and shovel, Emily Rose has his swimming goggles, and Teddy has his kite. Fergus lives on the first floor, but his friends—and the toys he let them borrow—are all upstairs. So many stairs, so little time! Will Fergus and Daddy remember to pack everything they need to bring? (Hint: this story ends with a surprise and a big laugh!) Lots of bold illustrations and an enchanting story about friendship and life in the city will make Fergus Barnaby one of your child’s favorites. (Ages 2–5)

About The Author:
David Barrow

In Emilee's opinion:

This was a fun book to read to my children. The book is tall and the illustrations were adorable. It reminded me a tiny bit of There was an old lady who swallowed a fly. But, it was creative and original and there was a twist at the end. I tried to guess but I got it wrong. The twist did make me laugh so you may be the only one who laughs as you read till the end of the book. Fantastic book!

In Emilee's opinion:

I have all of the book in the Goodnight series because I love them all so much. Goodnight Spaceman might be my favorite. I felt like I was in space when I was reading it to my kids. The illustrations are always well done which made it exciting to turn each page. It really was the perfect bedtime story. I love books so this will be a favorite for a long time. I definitely recommend this book and all of the other Goodnight books that Michelle Robinson wrote. Fantastic!
