In Emilee's opinion:

All four of these books were educational and well written. Also, the illustrations were colorful and exciting. Barron's Educational Series books have become my favorite books to read to my children. Their books help me encourage my kids to learn. I loved that these books included a "things to do" and "notes for parents and teacher" section at the end. Now, I can have short summer lessons and we can learn about the seasons, plants, butterflies and water cycle. If you don't know this about me...I plan out the summer so I make sure my kids have fun and learn at the same time. Some ideas I've done are, "Water Wednesday" or "Travel Tuesday." Maybe this year, I'll do "Wonder Wednesday" and we will read each book again and do a couple of the ideas at the end of the book. One idea that I'm going to try was found in the book titled, "A Stroll through the seasons." It said, "Take a stroll through the seasons. How many things can children find outdoors that have something to do with the current season? In summer, look for bright flowers. In autumn, look for crispy leaves. What else can they find? Now ask the children to make a collage using all the different things they found during their season stroll." Each book had great ideas and short lesson plans perfect for the summer. I look forward to implementing the ideas this summer with my children. I definitely recommend the Look and Wonder series.
