Arlington, VA – May 24, 2018 – Today, PBS Distribution announced the upcoming release of the new DVD, “WILD KRATTS: ADVENTURES ON THE AFRICAN SAVANNAH,” featuring two episodes from one of the top- rated kids series on PBS KIDS, WILD KRATTS. Get ready to go on an adventure with Martin and Chris Kratt as they travel all the way to the African Savannah. Kids will love learning about all of the different creatures that the Kratt Brothers encounter while roaming the grasslands, including a rhino and an elephant!

WILD KRATTS: ADVENTURES ON THE AFRICAN SAVANNAH” ($6.99 SRP) will be available on July 10, 2018 and has a run time of approximately 45 minutes. Episodes of WILD KRATTS are also available for digital download.

Episodes on this DVD include:

The Food Chain Game

Aviva wants to build a food web for the African Savannah, so she devises a game and Chris and Martin accept the challenge! They will each start as a blade of grass and climb to the top of the food chain in a game of “Creature Power Suit Creature Tag.”

Creature Power Challenge

After getting caught in the middle of a tussle between a grumpy rhino and an outraged elephant, Martin and Chris decide to have a contest to decide what’s stronger – elephant or rhino powers.

WILD KRATTS transforms the Kratt Brothers, creators of the award-winning “Kratts’ Creatures” and Emmy-winning “Zoboomafoo,” into animated versions of themselves, allowing the real-life zoologists to visit wild animals in their little-seen habitats and showcase key science concepts along the way. From elephants using physics to suck gallons of water with their trunks to a fleet of peregrine falcons that harness the force of gravity to speed through the air, each episode of WILD KRATTS presents age-appropriate science inspired by the natural abilities of the animals that the Kratt Brothers – and young viewers – meet. WILD KRATTS airs daily on PBS KIDS (check local listings).

About Kratt Brothers Company

Since founding their production company, The Kratt Brothers Company, in 1993, they have developed and executive produced more than 275 episodes of four successful television series: Kratts’ Creatures, Zoboomafoo with the Kratt Brothers, Kratt Bros. Be the Creature and Wild Kratts. In addition to playing themselves, Chris and Martin serve as directors, scriptwriters, authors and wildlife cinematographers in pursuit of more “creature adventures.”

 In Emilee's opinion:

In the Wild Kratts Adventures on the African Savannah, you will see two different wild adventures including The Food Chain Game and Creature Power Challenge. I loved how much I learned while watching the Kratt Brothers. They were enthusiastic which was very easy to watch. The Kratt brothers and their team were able to learn while they encountered animals in their natural habitat including the elephant and the rhino. Did you know that due to their habitat, savannah elephants can often be found grazing or browsing on grass, plants, and fruit? I also learned that rhinos can eat thorny bushes and love mud baths. I loved the characters and I loved that they worked together as a team to fix the creature power suits. Overall, I am a fan of Wild Kratts and felt that it was an educational dvd for children ages 3-8. I know your children will love the adventures on the African Savannah too.
