Kneaders Bakery & Cafe
A Celebration of our Recipes and Memories
by Colleen Worthington

About:
The story of Kneaders Bakery and Cafe began with Colleen and Gary Worthington baking traditional European bread in their kitchen. After mastering old-world bread-baking techniques and testing countless recipes, Colleen, Gary, and their growing team of bakers moved onto their signature artisan bread.

But bread is just the beginning. Kneaders is well-known for their mouth-watering soups, sandwiches, and breakfast as well as their delectable pies, cakes, and pastries. For the first time, home cooks have access to popular recipes such as Overnight Chunky Cinnamon French Toast, Artichoke Portobello Soup, and Blueberry Sour Cream Pie. Beautiful and appetizing photos accompany each recipe.

What began in Colleen Worthington’s kitchen a little more than twenty-five years ago has grown into a successful family-owned bakery and cafe business with time-tested, delicious recipes gathered in this one-of-a-kind cookbook.

In my opinion:

I received the Kneaders Bakery & Cafe Recipe book in exchange for a review. So, I decided to start by having a "Kneaders Day" on Thursdays but I may change it to Saturdays. This book included a variety of breakfast, salads, sandwiches, soups, drinks, breads, dips/spreads, stuffings/croutons, cakes/trifles, cookies/bars, pies/puddings and sweets/treats. So basically, anything they sell is in this book (don't quote me on that). There are a ton of delicious recipes and I HIGHLY recommend this book.

For "Kneaders Day" I wanted to choose four different recipes to try. So, we chose a salad, sandwich, or soup item, a bread or dip/spread, a drink, and a dessert.  The first Thursday, I chose to make the Aloha Summer Pasta Salad, Hot Cross Buns, Strawberry Tsunami Smoothie and the Spider Cookies (not pictured). Overall, everything was delicious according to me. My kids really liked the smoothie. Adrian thought the buns reminded him of scones. It was probably meant for lunch instead of dinner but they all seemed to approve.

The next Thursday, I chose to do two recipes. I chose Dave's BLT Sandwich and Blueberry #5 Smoothie. Both were delicious and my family approved.

Overall, there are a ton of wonderful recipes with over 300 pages.  I'm definitely a fan of Kneaders and can't wait to try the other recipes.

Disclaimer: I received one or more of the products or services for free in the hope that I would mention them on my blog and offer an honest review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
