"Puppy Star Christmas" Gingerbread Contest...Runner Up Winner

I was surprised to learn that I was the runner up in the "Puppy Star Christmas" Gingerbread Decorating Contest I entered last month. I wasn't expecting to win because there were so many amazing gingerbread houses. But, sure enough I received an email that said, "

JGOLDSTEINPR is proud to announce that blogger, Rebecca, from Teacups & Fairytales! https://teacupsandfairytales.com/2018/12/puppy-star-christmas-now-on-netflix-and-digital-hd/  is the grand prize winner in Air Bud’s “Puppy Star Christmas” Gingerbread House contest. The Senior Culinary Producer for The Rachael Ray Show, Jeanette Donnarumma, served as our judge. She had a tough time judging all entries because each blogger showed us what a truly talented and creative bunch we have!
Jeanette Donnarumma, “I loved looking through the entries and seeing these blogs. This group of bloggers got super creative with this fun and festive challenge!”
Donnarumma thought Rebecca was extra creative by making her gingerbread house a gingerbread dog house.

We also congratulate Emilee from Sweetly Made (Just for you)!, who is our runner-up.  http://sweetlymadejustforyou.com/puppy-star-christmas-gingerbread-house-decorating-contest/
Donnarumma said she fell in love with her heart-shaped candy canes, as well as her licorice sidewalk."

I love being acknowledged...it doesn't happen often so when it does, it gives me a happy feeling. So, I would like to thank the judge, Jeanette Donnarumma (so cool that you chose me as a runner up), Sharon Johnson (rep from JGoldsteinpr, for the chance to celeverate NETFLIX and DIGITAL HD debut of the film "Puppy Star Christmas" and of course Hape who sent us the coolest prize ever.

It came at the perfect time too...definitely lifted our spirits. Last night, Olivia had croup so not a lot of sleep for either one of us. Then the delivery guy came and we saw how heavy and big the box was. We opened it and Olivia was so excited!!! Of course, she had to wait till mommy finished building it but finally it was done.

Here is what we were rewarded...I still can't believe it.

COOK 'N SERVE KITCHEN by Hape

It is seriously the cutest kitchen I've ever seen. It is simple and stylish.

It actually isn't quite finished because I need to screw in the sink a little more. I'll have to wait till my husband gets home to help me. That was the hardest part...but the instructions were easy to figure out (all photos). I'm a visual learner so it was fairly easy. And I felt like I accomplished something ALL BY MYSELF. Great feeling.

And the knobs click for the oven and stove top. So cool! I'm just glad it isn't pink or purple. I love the color scheme.

You can't tell but Olivia kept giving me the "thumbs up" meaning she is a huge fan.

Criss cross applesauce right in front of her new kitchen...and yes we still have our tree up.

Overall, I think Olivia was pleased with her new kitchen and I can say I built a kitchen all by myself in less than two hours.

I love the little knobs and sink. Do you think the measurement cups look adorable and fit perfectly on the stove top? I sure do!!!

I added some Valentine's Day decor and the hooks came with the kit so we hung our kitchen mit or pots/pans.

And there was space to prepare food. We had some dishes and a basket of food and I'm letting Olivia borrow some bamboo bowls we had on hand. Super cute!

On the back of the kitchen was a blackboard to write messages. I'll have to write something like, "Olivia's Kitchen" and maybe her menu of what she will serve me as we play together.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with the outcome of the contest. I really do appreciate it. I'm a new fan of Hape so be sure to check it out. They believe in the concept of love, play and learn. "Hape believes that to play is in the DNA of every child, our job is just to awaken it and guide it gently. Our toys are created to inspire play, learn, and explore the world we live in. Through responsible business practices we aspire to leave the world in a better condition than we received it." #ilovehape
